报告题目:Cryo-EM analysis of spliceosome: The assembly of spliceosome and mechanism of pre-mRNA splicing

摘要: Pre-mRNA splicing is carried out by the spliceosome, which undergoes an intricate assembly and activation process. By applying single-particle cryo-EM, we solved several high resolution spliceosomal complexes at different stage of pre-mRNA splicing, including intron-lariat spliceosome, U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP, Bact complex, and C complex. These near-atomic structures provide detailed information for spliceosome assembly and mechanism of pre-mRNA splicing.
