Abstract:
In this series of lectures, we shall focus on the Keller-Segel bacterior model, which was first proposed by Keller and Segel in 1971 to interpret some wave phenomena of the bacteria pulses observed in an experiment. I shall introduce some known works on the existence of waves for the system and talk about our recent work on the the local well-posedness of solution for the Keller-Segel model and the spectral stability of the whole family of explicit traveling waves in some weighted spaces, by applying some special transformation, detailed spectral analysis and Evan`s function method. It`s a joint work with Yi Li and Yong Li.
