Title: A THEORY CONNECTING THE MEAN FIELD EQUATION ON TORI AND PAINLEV_E VI EQUATION

Abstract: We develop a new theory to connect two areas: (i) the mean

_eld equation with multiple singular sources on tori and (ii) Painlev_e VI

equation. Some applications to Painlev_e VI equation will be given. This

is based on joint works with Professors Chang-Shou Lin, Chin-Lung Wang and Ting-Jung Kuo.
